GED

GED is a US-based Grade 12 Certification which is equivalent to HSC and A-Levels. The GED exam is taken by Pearson VUE and ACE – American Council on Education. Certificates for international students are issued by the Education Department, District of Columbia.
The GED test was first developed in 1942. Since that time is has gone through several changes and updates. The latest and most substantial occurred in 2014 in the U.S. and 2017 internationally, including Bangladesh. At that time a more powerful GED program was built with a test fully aligned with the college and career-ready content and standards set forth by the U.S. Department of Education.
The test itself measures skills and knowledge across four test subjects, called: Reasoning Through Language Arts, Reasoning Through Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. There are several sections/papers on each subject. It is normally conducted at the authorized Pearson VUE test centre with the same standard practised similarly worldwide.
